Upgrading from 4.7 to Version 5 Problems

Featured Replies

Hi, I've been trying to upgrade my UnRaid 4.7 to Version 5 (final) before converting to Version 6 but am having some problems with my UnRaid Pro Key.

I've downloaded and unzipped the latest version of V5.0.6-i386 (last version listed on Lime-Technology site).  Since I have 2 keys, I have reformatted 1 Key several times treating it as "new"; copied all of the V5 unzipped files to the UNRAID key; and completed the make_bootable on both a Win7 (parallels in Mac) and directly in a Win8 (Surface Pro).

When I attempt to "test" the Key, it will boot but I note ~ 60+ errors in file/memory locations before it unpacks the UnRaid Server package.  Since the data file was downloaded to the 2 computers or VM's separately, is there a problem with the Zip file that will cause a problem?  I would prefer to FIX this issue before proceeding with an attempted actual boot.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and suggestions.

Dave

Just in case ... is the time on the UnRAID server correct?    Check in the BIOS -- and update if necessary.  An incorrect date can cause a variety of issues ... to include keeping the system from booting.

Take a picture of the monitor screen and post it here.  (This is a problem that I have never heard of before.)

When you post this picture, describe exactly what you are doing and how you are 'testing' the Key.
