Terminal command to restart the Web GUI/Service

Featured Replies

I'd like to request the ability to restart the web services via command line when they crash, or the ability to have it automatically recover from a crash if possible

This issue comes up only a few times a year for me (today's my lucky day), and searching the forum for answers, it seems it's plagued unRAID for years.

You can not kill emhttp and then restart, it is not designed to do that and you will get a segfault every time.

From this quote I take it that it is designed non restartable for a reason. Hopefully that can be changed in a future release. For now the standard response is "don't run add-on's that hang the webgui", and if you get it to hang with a stock system, post a bug report.
