Thanks Sparkly. Here are my findings:

[*]I have all *.itc files in my library now....all as "Unknown Artist, Unknown Album..."

[*]All AIF files are shown as "Unknown Artist, Unknown Album..."

DB is starting w/o any issues now, no errors in log file.

.itc is an itunes specific thing...

dunno about aif....

but there is a setting in the config file for allowing itunes to override metadata....

i'm trying out different updates and permissons etc....

pulling the container at the moment will likely break things..

i've bumped the libav element up to version 11 and put a hold on trying to make it run as non-root..

give this version a runout now......

@edgarwallace

the itunes setting i was talking about is this one, in the forked-daapd.conf file in your config folder...

	# Should iTunes metadata override ours?
#	itunes_overrides = false

.itc files can be excluded in conf file. That's done.

AIF files were including metadata in your first version. Unknown Artist, Genre, etc. is new and I will try the iTunes_overrides switch and report back (majority of my library contains lossless AIF music files instead of mp3)

I setup my daapd itunes server on unraid, but the shared library showed up on my pc only; not on my mac... any tough on that?

I presume the docker is working fine; any tips for itunes or mac configuration to modify?

doesn't need any config changes for mac, works on my macbook pro with osx 10.10.4 with itunes 12.2.2.25

ok, thanks

I solved the problem yesterday, on a PC the shared library automatically showed up, but on a mac I had to manually add the icon at the top left!

now, everything is working sweet!

Is there a way to add and edit playlists on the shared library?

sparklyballs, first thank you for the plugin. This is great. I just finished installing the plugin and can verify that it works with El Capitan and iTunes 12.3.0.44.

playlists are working great, thanks sparklyballs!

I did a quick search and it looks that it's impossible to sync an idevice with the Daapd library on unRAID?

Is it still the case or there a way to make this happen?

I'm trying to login to daapd for the very first time and is asking me for my credentials. I looked at conf file but I cannot figure out what to use.

What is default user and password fro daapd?

Thanks

huh ?

Sorry, maybe is a stupid question, but how do you use this docker. During initial setup I specified bot /music and /config folders and just like any other docker there is address with port

http://192.168.1.2:3689/. When I click on on it it asks me for user name and password. There is no WebUI for it?

One question. Is daapd refreshing music source automatically?
