DHCPCD using a lot of CPU during file copy

Featured Replies

just doing a large file copy, and noticed that dhcpcd is using quite a lot of CPU, sometimes as high as 25%. Is that normal? I thought dhcpcd would just get an ipaddress etc on startup and wouldn't really have to do anything after that. Some top output below:

PID USER      PR  NI  VIRT  RES  SHR S %CPU %MEM    TIME+  COMMAND
1598 root      20   0 12824 3596 2776 R   27  0.4   0:45.48 smbd
