SATA MALE to 3 pin fan splitter cable

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a SATA 15pin MALE to 3pin FAN splitter cable so I can offload some fans off my mainboard headers and just use the power supply SATA connections. I see plenty of 4 pin molex, but really wanting to use SATA since I'm using all my 6 molex for my SAS black planes. Yea, I have SATA male to molex adapters but don't want to use an adapter for an adapter.

This is the one I'm grabbing for the 3 120mm FANS that are running. Pretty cool. Uses the mainboards fan header for the speed control but offloads the power directly to a SATA power cable.

EDIT:

Actually found one on AliExpress. Wanted to order from the US, but don't mind ordering from here. No huge rush.

The ModRight CableRight SATA 15-pin to Dual PWM 4-Pin or 3-Pin Cable Adapter is a perfect solution to powering fans. Everyone has extra SATA power connectors off their power supply. Use those instead of another cable with an adapter on it. Great for use on front case fans where you already have extra SATA power connectors.

Note:

-The PWM connection will only run at full speed with this cable.

I use to order lots of stuff from FrozenCPU but they have been out of business since the beginning of the year.

I found all cables on AliExpress. Very cheap. Chinese made.

FrozenCPU's online cart is down, but they are taking phone orders.

Anyway, glad you found what you need at AliExpress. Monoprice is usually my goto for cables, but didn't see any SATA-to-Fan cables there.

I wouldn't order from FrozenCPU again. The owner had a drug binge one day and destroyed the place. Had several orders on order that never made it and took weeks to get a refund. It was pretty popular news in the water cooling world. I love Monoprice, first place I looked. Don't seem to have those type of cables.
