July 15, 201510 yr I have bought this Supermicro x10SLM-F and 3 Supermicro AOC-SAS2LP-MV8. Two would have allowed me 8sata x2 + 6 sata = 22 sata HDDs. But my goal is to use the 24 bays my case offers. This MB offers 3x PCI-E slots: 1x PCI-E 3.0 x8 (in x16) slot 1x PCI-E 3.0 x8 slot 1x PCI-E 2.0 x4 (in x8) slot http://www.supermicro.nl/products/motherboard/xeon/c220/x10slm-f.cfm I have plugged the 3x sas2lp-mv8 in those but only two (the firsts) seems to operate. Can someone, please, guide me how to make the last one work (if it can) ?
July 15, 201510 yr on mine, the 3rd one does not show up in post bootup, but is activated when unraid boots up....... Myk
July 21, 201510 yr Author There was a faulty PSU connection to the hard drives. It fried 2 HDD before I suspected it. Is solved it and all is well. But the 3rd one doesn't appear in the BIOS boot, it does only in unraid.
July 21, 201510 yr ya, if you need to change a setting on the 3rd card, you need to temp pull one of the other 2, make changes, reinstall pulled card. My 3 have been working great for over 6 months now Myk
