July 15, 201510 yr Hello, I can connect to my unraid through putty, but cannot access to the web interface. Then, i don't know how to download a syslog without this web interface. Thanks
July 15, 201510 yr If you putty in you can do: cp /var/log/syslog /mnt/user/<NAME-OF-ONE-OF-YOUR-USERSHARES> The syslog will then be in user share for you to attach to a forum post..
July 17, 201510 yr Author Thank you ! Actually, i could access to the tower, but my drive configuration disappeared. I don't remember the reference of the parity drive. Any idea to recognize it ? Thanks
July 17, 201510 yr I'm afraid I'm at a complete loss trying to understand what you are wanting! I believe you said the web interface was inaccessible, which has nothing to do with the parity drive. And there's nothing at all readable on the parity drive. I'm happy to help if you tell me what you are looking for. When you say the drive config has disappeared, I assume you mean the array is stopped, so no access to drives or shares? The flash drive is still accessible, copy the syslog to it, at /boot. cp /var/log/syslog /boot
July 17, 201510 yr Author I succeed in power on my tower and connect to the web interface. But the config has been deleted : all the drives are now unassigned. And I don't remember which one is the parity drive. I don't want to lose data. Any idea to recognize the parity drive ?
July 17, 201510 yr You need to be very careful with the below: When you add a drive and unraid recognises it as UNFORMATTED, then -that- is the parity drive...
July 17, 201510 yr If you can directly or through Telnet access the config folder on the unRAID boot drive, and config/super.dat exists on it, then the following command will show the list of drives in order, with the Parity drive being the first (ignore the intermingled garbage) - strings super.dat
July 20, 201510 yr Author You need to be very careful with the below: When you add a drive and unraid recognises it as UNFORMATTED, then -that- is the parity drive... Thanks it worked !!
