July 19, 201510 yr Hey guys just updated my main pc to the RTM of windows 10 and it doesn't see unraid. \\TOWER doesn't work neither does \\192.168.2.100 my other computers all can access it fine. any ideas? ** The solution as mentioned is to sign in using a local account. you can do this by going start menu> settings > accounts > sign in with local instead > enter ur Microsoft password and voila wonder why this is?

July 19, 201510 yr Have you read the existing threads about this? There's plenty of posts and workarounds suggested.
July 20, 201510 yr I posted about this as well here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=41590.0 No workaround has been suggested that works, yet.
July 20, 201510 yr Are past suggestions similar to this? https://www.schkerke.com/wps/2015/06/windows-10-unable-to-connect-to-samba-shares/
July 20, 201510 yr Are past suggestions similar to this? https://www.schkerke.com/wps/2015/06/windows-10-unable-to-connect-to-samba-shares/ This was the first thing I tried (before posting my thread). It did not work. EDIT: I just tried it again and confirmed that it is now working. Odd, I could have sworn I did exactly that twice before. Thanks! I'm not sure if this is an acceptable long-term solution, however.
July 20, 201510 yr FWIW I just updated my Win 10 VM to RTM and it works just fine => confirmed it will access UnRAID v4.7, v5.06, and v6.1RC1 all just fine. My VM has the "AllowInsecureGuestAuth" key set to 1 per the link Tom noted below [ https://www.schkerke.com/wps/2015/06/windows-10-unable-to-connect-to-samba-shares/ ] ... I did that several builds ago, when this issue first came up. I also mapped a couple drives just to confirm that works as well ... and it works just fine with all versions.
July 20, 201510 yr My solution was changing account back to a local one on Win10 instead of the Microsoft account. Finally restored my access to Unraid SMB!
July 20, 201510 yr Author yeah the fix above didn't work for me im using a Microsoft account so ill try switching it to a local user. Weird bug
May 11, 201610 yr Had same issue.. But my problem was I assigned a static IP to my VM (which is good), but also changed the DNS to Google DNS (8.8.8. which was not good for NetBios / Shares.. Changed it to my routers IP instead 192.168.1.1.. Share popped up
