how i see other lan device on unraid?

Featured Replies

hey

i try to config on some dockers something, and  i can't see like my NAS device on the unraid.

like in sickbeard that i want to config that it will download "tvseries" and move to the NAS on the lan, and not on the unraid HD system.

how i do it?

thanks

Use the unapplied devices plugin and mount a network share to your NAS.  It will then be available to any docker (with appropriate host and container volume mappings)

docker

docker

You would have to use the docker's volume mappings to give the docker access to it just like anything else on unRAID.

Use unassigned devices to add a mount point for your NAS device (eg mount something like "NAS_Movies" -> //NAS/Media/Movies

Then edit your container, and add a host volume of /mnt/disks/NAS_Movies mapped to a container volume of /NAS_Movies (or however you set things up)

Then when browsing for folders within your container, you will see the Movies stored on the NAS at /NAS_Movies

1. which container i need to add the host?

2. i try to use it,the plugin

on "SMB Mounts" i succeed to add them on "Mount point" after i add the folder from NAS -  /mnt/disks/IP_TV

on Unassigned Devices tab i don't see the NAS

After adding the smb mounts, unassigned devices should look something like this (although it defaults to /mnt/disks/????? for mount points - I changed them for my own reasons)

I don't use sickrage, but your host and container paths should be similar to this (modify to match the settings in unassigned devices)

No guide per se.  You can ask questions in the support threads for these apps, and also within the project pages for sickrage / rutorrent.

It helps to think of it this way:

Docker is a way to get the app working on Unraid, and questions up to that point, including how to edit the docker config should be asked here.

When it comes to "fine tuning" and setting up the app yourself then head over to the forum for that app.

Google search for the application name and that should lead you to the websites for those applications.
