upgrade to new version

Featured Replies

I have a Unraid system running and it is rock solid.  I have it built with 2TB drives.  I am looking to add capacity.

I am currently running Unraid server Pro Ver 4.7

What version should I upgrade to? Do I need to pay for a new version?

Depends on current hardware.

No, your current license key will work with that USB stick for either 5 or 6.

Mostly for support reasons, but others too, we really want everyone to upgrade to v6 if at all possible.  I strongly recommend reading the Upgrading to UnRAID v6 guide, which begins with the one main hardware requirement, that your CPU is 64 bit capable (almost all modern CPU's are).  The guide has a test for it.  If you are not 64 bit capable yet, then you will need to upgrade to and stay with v5.0.6, until you have upgraded your hardware.
