VNC Password being auto added

Featured Replies

Random one, but every time i edit a VM (using VM manager, not manually on the xml) the VNC password field is auto populated. Sometimes i forget to clear it before saving changes and it bugs the hell out of me when trying to connect, not knowing the password, having to force stop the VM and editing it out again.

Any idea why this auto populates?

Or at the very least what the password is so i don't have to force stop?

TIA

no-one having this issue?

or know the resolution?

  • 3 months later...

Just had this problem after adding a graphics card so now the config is GPU1:VNC, GPU2:Nvidia but I can't use VNC or get the  the graphics card working. This is annoying as I've already activated Win 8.1 Pro so don't want to tear down the VM just to fix this. :(

EDIT:Found the password field in the GUI phew!!

Are you using chrome? Then its the remember password function that kicks in and thinks this is the login for unraid or some dockers GUI. I think it was the openvpn client in my case.

Indeed i am using Chrome, how did i never think of that! :o

I've actually gotten used to clearing the field every time i create/edit a vm, how sad!

Now to clear out my remembered passwords from Chrome when I'm home, thanks ;)
