I'm looking to backup my important files to a HDD mounted outside of the array.  Can anyone suggest a Docker or plugin that will keep the user share and the backup HDD synchronised?

Unassigned Devices plugin will let you mount, unmount, and auto-mount non-array drives, and will optionally execute a script on mounting/dismounting. I use that along with overbyrn's rsync script.

I'm already using the Unassigned Devices pugin, it works a treat.  I'll take a look at the rsync script.
