Drive speed

Featured Replies

Is there a way to check what speed my hard drives are running at if they're running at SATA 6Gb/s, 3Gb/s , or the lower sata 1.5Gb/s? I currently have a Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 and a 2 port card not sure of which one i have but i think its the one that runs sata 1.

Assuming you're running 6, click on the drive in Main, which gets you to the Drive Settings page.  Scroll to the bottom and the drive connection speed is listed near the bottom (5th line up from the bottom, marked 'SATA Version' on my setup) :)

Ok got it on some of my drives it reads this SATA Version: SATA 2.6, 3.0 Gb/s and other say SATA Version: SATA 3.1, 6.0 Gb/s (current: 6.0 Gb/s), so on the second one i can clearly see that it says current speed but the others im not sure. Is there a reason why on one of them it doesn't say current speed?
