August 12, 200916 yr I just upgraded from the original Intel board to a Supermicro C2SEA. I was having a problem getting unRaid to start, but I was able to fix that. I have two SATA drives plugged into the motherboard, 2 IDE drives connected to the on board IDE, and 8 IDE drives connected to two PCI cards. The BIOS sees all 12 drives, but unRaid does not see the two drives connected to the motherboard IDE connector, only the SATA drives and those connected to the PCI cards. Any ideas on what I have to change to get unRaid to see the missing drives? I'm attaching a syslog. PS - I didn't connect my UPS so I know I've got an error message for that.
August 13, 200916 yr The IDE ITE8213F chipset probably isn't supported. It's an oddball controller that isn't used in many products unlike the JMicron IDE/eSATA controller that's only almost every consumer Intel motherboard.
August 14, 200916 yr Author Thanks for the info. I'm getting a couple of new 1TB sata drives so I'll be replacing those IDE drives and get them off that controller soon.
