    Its too bad he makes no mention of RAID 4, since unRAID is closely related to it.  Still an interesting read, though.

    Is there detail of what the simulations consisted of? Or generally how the data was generated?

     

    This may be up on the page as a link - I didn't spend much time looking for it I will admit!

     

    Interesting study if the data was plausibly gathered.

    You may find it interesting to read of the reliability calculations... and how important it is to identify and correct any failures ASAP, in ANY RAID array.
