danioj
Hi All, Has anyone experienced an issue with upgrading plugins in v 6.01 recently. First I upgraded the Nerd Tools Plugin and pressed done before looking at the output but as it disappeared I saw multiple "No Space Left on Device" errors. However, when it went back to the plugins page it seemed to have installed fine. I then tried to upped community applications and this time I grabbed the output .... plugin: updating: community.applications.plg plugin: downloading: https://raw.github.com/Squidly271/community.applications/master/archive/community.applications-2015.08.02.txz ... done +============================================================================== | Installing new package /boot/config/plugins/community.applications/community.applications-2015.08.02.txz +============================================================================== Verifying package community.applications-2015.08.02.txz. expr: syntax error /sbin/installpkg: line 432: [: -lt: unary operator expected /sbin/installpkg: line 434: [: -lt: unary operator expected expr: syntax error /sbin/installpkg: line 466: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 466: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 466: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 466: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 466: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 466: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 466: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 466: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 466: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 466: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 466: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 466: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 469: echo: write error: No space left on device cat: write error: No space left on device Installing package community.applications-2015.08.02.txz: PACKAGE DESCRIPTION: /sbin/installpkg: line 537: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 538: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 539: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 540: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 545: echo: write error: No space left on device /sbin/installpkg: line 550: echo: write error: No space left on device WARNING: Package has not been created with 'makepkg' /sbin/installpkg: line 559: echo: write error: No space left on device Package community.applications-2015.08.02.txz installed. ---------------------------------------------------- community.applications has been installed. danioj
Ah, I may have posted prematurely. I just noticed this thread: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=41985.0 Perhaps it is the same thing? The only question I would have is (if it is the same issue) - if there is no space to do the install then why would it say there has been a successful install and show the new plugin version on the plugins page? Perhaps it isn't the same thing? Link to comment
spencers
I got the same errors yesterday when installing a plugin. I ran across this thread. But haven't tried the suggestion yet. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=33206.0 Link to comment

I don't think it is the same problem as in the thread I posted several weeks ago. Are myself and spencers the only 2 people experiencing this? Your tmpfs is probably full so it's not able to write the logs from installing the plugin. That is what that thread you linked previously is about. Link to comment

Removed the dynamix system stats, info, and temp plugins If I remember rightly the Dynamix System stats has previously been identified as one that can fill up the space allocated for logs/ Link to comment

Your tmpfs is probably full so it's not able to write the logs from installing the plugin. That is what that thread you linked previously is about. The reason I thought this was a different issue was because of my interpretation of the errors. I was incorrect. Verifying package p7zip-9.38.1-x86_64-1tom.txz. expr: syntax error I didn't see how lack of space could throw a Syntax error in a command. This (from link in my original post) fixed the issue: mount -o remount,size=384m /var/log Clearly I was very wrong. Added this to my Go file (in /boot/config). All fixed. Thanks to all for the replies and the support. Link to comment
00b5
I had this issue. I looked in /var/logs (which was 100% full) and one of the files docker.log.1 was using almost all of the space (about 120mb of the 128mb). I didn't even bother to look in the log since about a month ago I had run out of space in my docker.img file, and had just recreated a new one and re setup my dockers. I assume it was complaning in the log about it not working, being full, blah, blah, blah. I moved the file (docker.log.1) to my cache drive, rebooted my server and all the dockers started back up and created a new log file (i think its docker.log). Since then, my docker.img is 30% full (6/20GB) and the logs are 3% full. Moving the docker log file had no real impact, other than needing to restart the server to get the free space updated properly. I also reloaded all my plugins, just to be sure (remove, then readd) Link to comment
