August 6, 201510 yr I'm running UnRAID Basic 6.0.1 with a 3-drive array (for now): 3TB Parity, 3TB Disk 1, 500GB Disk 2. I had the 500GB drive lying around so I figured I'd use it for now, to be replaced later. What worries me is that Disk 1 is over 50% full (1.23 TB free), and Disk 2 has not been written to at all. I'm worried that I didn't set up the shares' allocation method correctly. Most of the data is in the Movies and TV Shows shares. Please take a look at the screenshots below that show my Main screen, Shares, and Share file structures. Thanks for your help in advance.
August 6, 201510 yr Community Expert I would not expect unRAID to start using Disk 2 until the free space on the other disk falls below 500GB. Even then it may not be used as the Split Level setting over-rides the allocation method setting if there is any conflict between them in choosing a disk to use.
August 6, 201510 yr Author Thanks, I thought I read somewhere that it would start using Disk 2 after Disk 1 went over 50% capacity. Global Share Settings: http://i.imgur.com/sRHUBVA.jpg Does it look OK?

That's what I'm worried about, that the split level is not set up correctly... is it?
