August 7, 201510 yr There was a current power outage and now I can't use the regular means to access the server ie: //tower:8080 or using command + k on mac to mount the server. Can someone help me to access the server? Thanks All fixed! Thanks everyone!
August 7, 201510 yr Are you sure it's booting up? Can you ping it? Do you have a keyboard and monitor attached?
August 12, 201510 yr Author doesn't it look like its booting up. I connected a monitor and nothing shows up on the screen.
August 12, 201510 yr Does it power up at all? Do the fans run? Do you get any beeping or led flashing on the motherboard?
August 13, 201510 yr Author The computer can turn on. All the fans run and the lights to all hard drives are lit. The one thing that doesn't look normal is the usb drive usually blinks upon powerup. I don't see that happening. Any advice on how to further diagnose the issue? Thanks
August 13, 201510 yr Does the monitor wake up and show anything onscreen? Does the CapsLock key toggle the CapsLock LED? If the answer to both of those questions is no, then you have a basic hardware issue. Did you build your own server? Are you comfortable disconnecting various things from the motherboard to do some troubleshooting? Since this happened after a power outage, and you don't appear to have a battery backup in use, I suspect a blown PSU, or motherboard, or RAM. Do you have any spare parts you can swap temporarily?
August 13, 201510 yr It may also have reset some of your BIOS settings. Check the boot order, make sure it wants to boot from your unRAID flash drive.

August 13, 201510 yr Sometimes when my machine has issues I plug my USB into another pc and boot it up. If it doesn't boot normal I normally download uRAID again, create a bootable USB and then copy the <config> folder from my PC which I keep a copy of to the USB stick and boot it up. I don't know why, but either my USB is having issues or my nRAID machine is causing the USB to have issues. So I'm forced to rebuild it now and then and go from there. I'm not suggesting that's what you need to do. I'm just saying if you think its the USB pull it out and try it in another machine before you tinker with to many settings on your server and later find out you changed a lot for no reason.
