Unraid syslog errors due to windows client

Featured Replies

My unraid server has been spewing a lot of syslog errors lately

Aug 7 16:15:27 Tower avahi-daemon[2876]: Invalid response packet from host 169.254.66.26.

This ip seems to be coming from my min desktop windows pc. (now running w10)

I have it setup with a static ip 192.168.5.130 BUT it seems to get a second "link-local" ip address you see in the unraid logs.

I am unable to find how i can remove this behaviour. I did not add a second ip (it is also not listed in the advanced ipv4 section )

Same behaviour when using dhcp.

The given address is always different when disabling / reenabling the adapter.

I added a screenshot to clarify.

I know this isn't exactly unraid related, but i'm desperate to find out how to remove it :S

The multitude of errors seemed to crash my syslog reporting the other day.

Edit:

Seems like this post describes the same error but doesn't mention the seconday ip.
