dikkiedirk
I am trying to mount a samba share from another server inside my mainserver with: mount -t cifs //192.168.10.209/Media /mnt/mountpoint after entering this line it asks for a password, but I never set a password. What is the right way to mount this share? The share is set as Public Both servers are on V6.01 Link to comment

Squid
Or you can also use the unassigned devices plugin to mount a smb share. Link to comment
dikkiedirk
Shouldn't be that complicated I think? Is this a quirk from unraid? Why can I use the above lines to mount shares on a qnap nas, but not on a unraid server? @Squid: Where can I find this plugin? Will it give me read/write access? Link to comment
Squid
http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=38635.0 and yes it will give read / write access to smb shares Link to comment
