Command Timeout and Reported Uncorrect

Featured Replies

Hopefully someone can help me. These are relatively newish drives (few years). Since putting them into my unraid server, they are kicking out numerous Command Timeout and Reported Uncorrect errors with some really ridiculous numbers. Hopefully someone can take a look at these smart reports and make heads or tails of them.

Are they an issue? Should I be replacing them?

Thanks!

All 3 drives are fine, no problems.  The RAW numbers for your 3 drives for both Command Timeout and Reported Uncorrectable are coded values, a set of subfields, and should be ignored.  The actual VALUE's for them are all 100, perfect.  Go to the Settings page, click on the Notifications icon, and uncheck both Command Timeout and Reported Uncorrectable.

The only thing that struck me about the drives is that they are so young, all about 3600 hours (3657, 3658, 3658), yet have high Load Cycle Count numbers, all around 170000 (154155, 166780, 194041).  That seems strange for Hitachis.

Thanks RobJ - appreciate you reviewing them. Note taken on the DOC file. :)

When I go to Settings -> Notifications, in that screen, i don't see any option for selecting individual SMART alerts to not send. I have seen reference to this before, but cannot find that specific option. I am running v6.0.1.

Not sure why but they're sort of hidden.  Click the 'Basic view' switch in the upper right, change it to 'Advanced view', and the SMART check boxes should appear below.

Edit: add 'view' above

Yep, seen that referenced before as well. On my Notifications page, I have no switch for switching from Basic to Advanced, like on the Docker page.

On the grey bar at top that says "Notification Settings" on the far left, doesn't it say "Basic View" or "Advanced View" on the far right of the grey bar?  See attached pic.  Just click on the slide toggle, to the right of "Basic View".

Funny enough, no. And I have no clue why.

Just an FYI - once I upgraded to 6.1 I then got the advanced tab.
