Anyone elses HDHomerUn no longer showing up?  I can' t re-add it either, it just sits and spins.......

Mine are both still showing as is the program guide (which I just successfully refreshed)  and I have access to all visible channels.  I also have a scheduled recording in progress now.

Must be something specific to your network.

Hi I'm getting this playback error ( An unknown error occurred (4294967283) ) After adding (Quadro P400) to plex for transcoding

I get this error only if I transcode any video on the server.

No issues with transcoding with my other card GTX 970 or the CPU

I have the latest Plex and the latest Nvidia Driver also I'm on Unraid 6.11

Note: The Quadro P400 works normally with other apps like Tdarr and your linuxserverio/Jellyfin Repository / So I don't think there is an issue with the card, unraid or the drivers.

I used Plex Windows Client App for testing.

I don't know if I am being dump here, but I have just gone to look at something within my plex server, and discovered that the option for the Nvidia Visible Devices is missing.

I know I had set it up about 6 months ago, when I was having issues with my plex and transcoding, but now I can't find it.

I have check that I still have the nvidia drivers plugin is still installed and working, and also the GPU status.   can someone please help

HI,
I use Plex Version 1.29.1.6316, on Unraid 6.11.1

When I try to start a movie in 4K DoVi/HDR (HECV Main 10), it won't start. (with app.plex.tv on Chrome)

samething with my Firestick.

I try with the local address (192.168.1.x:32400) and everything works good.

Same problem at my sister house.

Thank,

This may be some limitation of the fire stick. I don’t really think it’s related to the docker container though. You may get an answer for your problem here but a much better chance if you post on the Plex forum. More fire stick users there.

I'm having issues with plex hardware transcoding using quick sync (vaapi).

Whenever I try to play in Firefox (which will force transcode) the playback doesn't start and I get an error saying:

Problem Solved !!!
Shutting down the container > Clearing the Codecs directory > Run the Container
Thanks to u/clintkev251 from r/unraid reddit for the solution

Note : Plex Windows Client still showing the error the rest of MAC HTPC iOS & Web Browser are working perfectly. will try to find a solution for the windows client.

I have been having the same issue with a P400 for a long time. Just like you it works fine in Tdarr / emby but fails in plex with errors like yours.

Clearing the cache "fixes" the issue, but I use the windows client regularly and it breaks again for everything within a few plays!

Please post if you find anything!

Appreciate any input / assistance in debugging this.

For completeness I found a solution. The issue lies with the fact that my server has both an iGPU and a discreet GPU (nvidia). The discreet GPU has a dummy hdmi plug to be used by VMs. When plex starts it detects both and chooses to use the one with the HDMI dummy plug instead of the iGPU.

The solution to this is to stop the container, edit the Preferences.xml to add `HardwareDevicePath="/dev/dri/renderD128"` and start the container again.

For reference /dev/dri/renderD128 is the iGPU and /dev/dri/renderD129 is my Nvidia GPU (at least on my server). Now h/w transcoding works fine again.

Hi all.

I'm having a problem updating unRAID from 6.10.3 to 6.11.1.

After doing the unRAID update, I get the following error:

595454587_Screenshot2022-11-02172138.jpg.f831a9cb1db00ed7263a7c2458347b4f.jpg

The first time I tried to update unRAID, I rebooted and started the array. My Plex docker didn't start, so I tried to start it and it errored out, then the docker became abandoned. I restored unRAID back to 6.10.3 from my backup and restored my Plex docker.

I tried updating unRAID to 6.11.1 again and got the same Nvidia Driver plugin error.

Has anyone else gotten this error?

This time I will try going into the Nvidia plugin settings page, after rebooting for the update, and updating the plugin. Hopefully that's all it takes.

I've attached my diagnostics file for your review.

Any help is appreciated.

I was able to get my Plex docker to work after updating unRAID to 6.11.1.

After rebooting my server for the 6.11.1 update, I had to go into the nvidia drive plugin page and update & download the driver, then reboot my server again.

Once I did all that, I started my Plex docker and it worked perfectly.

Hi all.

I can see somebody had this problem before.

I just tryed to reset my password and make a new token claim (signed out of all devices)

Checked all portforward.

Very wird i have been running plex in windows for years and never had this problem before.

I know it is danish hope it is okay.

It is like unstable in the connection. Works from outside my lan, then it wont work. Then work. What good things cut i try?

After having issues with the official Plex docker image I've tried installing this one as it seems to have far more support. It is using separate appdata paths as I'm ok starting over in terms of my Plex DB but I'm getting the same error and struggling to find out more from the logs.

The server is "running" and under My Authorized Devices on Plex I can see the claim ID seems to be recognized, but everything is inaccessible. I was running fine this week on unRAID 6.11.2. I woke up to an issue this morning, and among other things I upgraded to 6.11.4 with no change.

Edited to include diagnostics too.

I have a corrupt database and need to stop the service, but not the container. I was told that I could enter this:

cd /var/run/s6/services

and then enter this:

s6-svc -d plex

but after that second command, I get this error:

Quote

s6-svc: fatal: unable to control plex: No such file or directory

My database is not repairable (but plex is still working fine). but nightly I get a "database is corrupt" error when a backup is created. I was going to extract my "watched" data etc and recreate the libraries and database etc. but can't stop the service to use sqlite. any help would be appreciated.

Yes, that's correct. I'm on the latest version of the Linux Plex server docker. I'm guessing by your response, that you are perplexed as to why I'm getting that error as well? I tried restarting the container and trying again and I'm getting the same error.  Any other suggestions? Thanks for the help, by the way.

I just checked and I get the same error. Seems like they moved the location within the docker. I will see if I can find the new location.
