Furby8704
just in case youre having trouble logging in. plex has been down for a few hours now Quote Link to comment
interwebtech
FYI if you are having problems with Plex Channels like Comedy Central claiming files don't exist, its a problem with latest version. Fall back to Advanced View | Environmental Variables| and set it to: VERSION | 0.9.15.5.1712-ba5070a Quote Link to comment
MagicMountainMan
Check spelling. Remember things are case sensitive. Spelling is fine I double checked. To be a bit more verbose, the actual path for my movies and TV shows is all under mnt/user/Media/ and I have folders within Media that are Movies and TV Shows that I point Plex to. I have no problem watching TV shows, but Movies don't even load and I'm stumped. Quote Link to comment
mr-hexen
Are you transcoding to RAM? Quote Link to comment
MagicMountainMan
Yes I am, however even playback on devices that don't need transcoding doesn't work. Quote Link to comment
mr-hexen
Make it transcode to the cache drive and try again. Quote Link to comment
MagicMountainMan
Sure enough that did it. Is making it transcode to RAM no longer supported? Quote Link to comment
ljm42
Sure enough that did it. Is making it transcode to RAM no longer supported? People started reporting problems transcoding to RAM with Plex 0.9.14: https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40937.msg419495#msg419495 Quote Link to comment

billplowman
Just writing to say thanks! I've been using your Plex container (as well as Sonarr, Couch & Sab) for a few weeks and I just received my first automatic Plex update! I simply stopped the container and started it again and Plex was updated! It worked flawlessly! Thanks for all your work guys! Quote Link to comment

Bjonness406
plex says it needs to be done manually. where ? In server settings, it is always like that. Plex can't auto update itself on unraid as far I know Hey everyone. 9.15.6 is out and when the docker updated the other day it didn't install this update. plex says it needs to be done manually but i don't know how to do that. Just restart the docker, it will auto update then. Quote Link to comment
Inimical
Apologies if this was already asked here, but how do I go from Needo's container to this one without losing data? Quote Link to comment
trurl
Apologies if this was already asked here, but how do I go from Needo's container to this one without losing data? Make a backup copy of the needo plex appdata (shouldn't need it) and then point this plex to the same plex appdata. Quote Link to comment

III_D
I accidentally hit "Update" on the context menu (for the first time with this Docker), and ever since I cannot get Plex to start. When I check the live log, all I see is the "lsio" logo and a list of GID/UID. Nothing then ever shows up in the log, and I cannot access the WebUI. It is running but stalled. There is a post on the hub.docker page saying that Plex has changed it's download page, which starts a redirect loop... could this be the problem? I stopped this Docker, and started Limetech's Plex Docker (I needed to do this once before to salvage a broken lsio Plex Docker, and keep it as a backup)... This one works flawlessly. Any thoughts? Thanks III_D UnRAID 6.1.9 Quote Link to comment

I jut completed this..coming from the LimeTech docker and it worked perfectly. Took a few minutes before the WebGUI would respond, but much easier than re-installing and you get to keep your metadata , playcounts and watch/not-watched status. Quote Link to comment

CHBMB
I can't reproduce this using VERSION = latest or VERSION = plexpass So can only assume it was a transient issue. Quote Link to comment
Inimical
I just swapped out my cache drive, which required backing up the Plex application directory to the array, and then moving it back. Upon starting Plex from the new cache drive I get the below error in the log. Plex starts, but does not fully load. Any ideas?
