What Nvidia driver version did you install? What version of Plex are you on? When you say “dashboard GPU statistics”, do you mean the Nvidia GPU statistics plugin? Have you tried uninstalling it and trying to transcode? Latest available (non beta of plex) Nvidia driver: v455.38 Regardig grp statistics - YES thats the one and yes on reinstall and tried to transcode Quote Link to comment

Yes definitely rebooted after driver install, and h/w encoding works fine in the Jellyfin docker. Just in the plex one it fails with the error above. Quote Link to comment

Recent changes made the UnRaid Nvidia plugin defunct, and there is some disagreement with the CA devs responsible for those older plugins. Only way youll see Nvidia Drivers in CA is with the beta version I mentioned above at the moment. reference: Quote Link to comment

It did fill up a couple nights ago, but the scheduled transfer cleared it that same night. It is a 1TB Samsung 860 Evo, so normally room isn't a problem, but I queued a lot of downloads that day apparently. Time wise that does seem to line up with when things started going wrong. Could that be related? Edited November 17, 2020 by Unraiding Quote Link to comment

garypower
Just going to put this here with what I have tried so far : Unraid 6.9.0 beta-35 - Plex docker version 1.20.4.3517 - Nvidia Driver 4.55.38 (card Quadro P400) As soon as hardware transcoding starts it bombs with : An unknown error occurred (4294967283) Error code: 4294967283 Also built a VM and passed through card, installed Nvidia drivers 455.38 and get the same error! Installed Jellyfin Docker to test : HW transcoding works with no issues. Rolled back to Unraid 6.8.3 and installed the prebuilt kernel with Nvidia drivers version 450.66 from : Plex docker now transcodes with no issues at all! I have been back and forth and no idea what is going on but it is 100% replicable. Guess I am staying on this version for a while. Quote Link to comment

jrok96
not sure where to ask a question. sorry if i'm in the wrong section. I have recently been trying to organize my pms, i have this one movie that i cant seem to do anything with. i noticed it wasn't grabbing metadata/posters etc. so i tried removing the movie from my "Movies" folder and scanning library files, but its still there. when I try to delete the movie from within plex i get a message that there was problem deleting this item. I've removed and put the movie back on my unraid server a bunch of times and dont know what else to do. let me know which logs to post and i will. There are hundreds of logs to choose from and not sure which ones will help Edited November 21, 2020 by jrok96 Quote Link to comment

Nowjon
Heyo, Attempted to view some Plex items today and I'm getting an error in the log "PMS: failure detected. Read/write access is required for path: /config/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server" I have my /config mounted to /mnt/disks/Plex_SSD/ which is an drive mounted by unassigned devices (This is mounted as RW/Slave in the template) I went into that drive and set the Library permissions to 777 and applied recursively Here's some screenshots of the permissions and docker log Edit: Found that the drive I was using for Plex was full. Edited November 23, 2020 by Nowjon Added note that this is mounted with RW/Slave Quote Link to comment
Lunks
I'm trying to use GPU transcoding using the recently added tone-mapping. I'm on the correct Plex version (1.21.0.3616). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Normal transcoding works. I have loaded i915 (I have a i3 8100 with a compatible motherboard for transcoding). From the log output: beignet-opencl-icd: no supported GPU found, this is probably the wrong opencl-icd package for this hardware (If you have multiple ICDs installed and OpenCL works, you can ignore this message) Thing is it just worked for another file. It looks client-dependent (this doesn't happen for the Plex web client but does for my Apple TV 1080p). Full log: [s6-init] making user provided files available at /var/run/s6/etc...exited 0. david279
@Lunks did you check out the dependences part here https://support.plex.tv/articles/hdr-to-sdr-tone-mapping/ Looks like for intel transcoding some dependences may need to be added for intel. Quote Link to comment
coblck
So how do you install these within unraid? Quote Link to comment
david279
Console into the docker and run the command to install the dependences there. Quote Link to comment
david279
Hopefully the docker images get updated to add the dependences directly into it. Quote Link to comment

LSL1337
I just installed the new 1.21.x version, and HDR to SDR encode works like a charm with hw transcode. I have a 7700T (Kaby Lake), which supports hevc 10bit encode, decode. very nice, now remote users can watch HDR content easily. I even found the server side tonemap better, than the one done by PMP on directplay playback on sdr devices (w10). just my experience, maybe useful for others. I'm still on 6.8.x Quote Link to comment
