i checked every .log file in the /logs folder, non of them are showing me anything about a crash

only those .dmp files what are in the "Crash Reports" folder inside plex appdata are showing something, but its not possible to past the info here on the forum because it only past some symbols of it, not possible the post the hole .dmp file here...

No.

You can sign into your plex server from plex.tv at any time from anywhere, doesn't matter what ports it's on or any subdomain that it might be connected to ..  so you're only making more work for yourself.

But you can continue to set it up, doesn't really matter.  It's obviously a port issue if you're not getting outside access, and/or a forwarding issue for the domain.  Do you have 32400 open?  I believe that's required no matter what.

Thanks so what you are saying that it is just as secure opening port 32400 instead of running it behind a reverse proxy?

I don't have port 32400, since it's running on reverse proxy so port 1443 is open and also configured at 1443 at Plex settings.

if you are properly behind a reverse proxy you should be using port 443 and not 1443 (thats the internal port for swag)

Sorry you are right, I've just reverted back to standard port 32400. But would it be more safes or is 32400 standard good enough since it's not a directly attached login local on Plex?

32400 is the direct connection to your plex docker, then reverse is out of the game.

if you need a more safe protection is up to you, behind reverse means its only listening on the specific hostname for plex, port 32400 doesnt matter then, but i personally never heard of someone hacking plex servers ...

I need some help finding where my plex docker is currently storing its data? It isn't in the appdata folder and I cannot figure out where else it would be storing it. I am worried because I have been using the Appdata Backup/Restore plugin but found out today that it hasn't been backing up Plex as it isn't storing in the correct location. Can someone give me some instructions on how to find and move it properly?

docker run -d --name='plex' --net='br0' --cpuset-cpus='4,5' -e TZ="America/Chicago" -e HOST_OS="Unraid" -v '/mnt/user/Content/':'/Content/':'rw' 'ghcr.io/linuxserver/plex

You have really messed up your template. You are missing half of it. No wonder you don't find your appdata, as it's not mapped to host.

Since you've messed that up, I wouldn't be surprised if you don't have other things wrong with your configuration. Do you have any other dockers?

I have lots of other dockers and haven't had any issues with any of them except for Sonarr, which I had the same issue recently. I have folders and data in the appdata share for everything else.

I just updated to the latest version of this container and more than half of my 'on deck' shows are not showing on deck. On top of this, one series had a first episode of a new season come out today and Plex didn't put it on the deck.

I have tried changing the number of weeks on deck shows - my standard is 999, but I tried 0,1,52,99999. Even at 99999 it doesn't show all of them.

Does anyone have any ideas? On deck is great for not missing shows.

I would suggest posting this on the Plex forum. Really looks like a problem with the app.

Hey all, I've been running this docker pretty well for awhile. Recently, I've run into a couple issues and I thought I'd reach out for some direction.

1) Some time ago (maybe 6 months?), I simply was unable to update my plex docker. I'd attempt the upgrade and it would stall at removing or stopping the container and when I "Xed" out of the upgrade popup, it would simply remove the container. After the first time heart attack, I figured out how easy it was to reinstall previous docker images so I would simply just do that and eventually I became ok with just not upgrading. However, now that I am here, I'd like to resolve so I can keep using the latest and greatest.

2) Recently, as in a few days ago, I began losing mounted drives containing media I was streaming in Plex. At first, I lost the most recent drive I had mounted (A single drive in a caddy plugged into a machine on my network), but now I appear to have lost my main drive (Drobo 5N) which took everything down. The weird thing is from the "Main" tab in the docker UI, the shares both exists, report as mounted, and when I click the hyperlink for the mount, I browse to them and into directories and even pull up files. Nothing has really changed in any configs, so I am at a loss.

Any help for either issue would be appreciated. I'm also willing to provide more info such as logs, etc. if needed.

That is an issue with unraid and not Plex, so better to open a new thread in the general support subforum.

the second server is stable, no crash at all. does this mean my main server is corrupted????

WHAT CAN I DO WITHOUT RECREATING MY LIBRARY?

its pretty big and recreate this means hours of work and probably some temp ip bans from the metadata sites...

i tried this already on the plex forum, the suggested to downgrade to unraid 6.8.3. with is NOT possible for me, i lose HW transcode and the Multi cache pool (where all my VM are running on...)
