rhinoman
Trying to install the official Limetech Openelec VM and I'm getting an error creating the VM, jpeg is attached. Is this my graphics card not compatible? Link to comment
saarg
Your graphics card is in a group with other devices, so you aren't able to pass it through it looks like. You have to turn on PCIe ACS Override in Settings --> VM Manager. After you enable the setting you have to reboot your server. Link to comment
rhinoman
Many thanks, works perfectly now. Link to comment
rhinoman
Ok, I'm new to VM's and Kodi.... I'm all running but the IP address of the Kodi install is DHCP and an "odd" ip as in not from my routers range. Can I change that to one in my routers range manually or is this a hard coded VM thing, (I'm trying to achive control from my iphone which cant find it because the ip is in the wrong range) Link to comment
saarg
You must change network to br0 to get up from your router. Using virbr0 you only get an internal ip from unraid and can't connect to the vm. Link to comment
rhinoman
Thanks for the reply, Under Network bridge in the VM settings I only have two options , virbr0 and docker0 virbr0 gives me the odd address docker0 comes up link not connected. Link to comment
saarg
Then you have to activate network bridge in settings. After that you should be able to choose br0 (I think that is the default name for the bridge) when you edit the vm. Link to comment
rhinoman
Thanks again. Tried the setup bridge mode to yes, applied the settings and then lost connectivity to the server web console. Had access to the flash from my windows server machine so edited the network config with bridging back to no and rebooted and its back. Do I need to do something else as well as the setup bridge? I have Enable bonding - No Bonding mode - active backup (1) setup bridge - no bridge enable stp - yes bridge name - br0 bridge forward delay - 0 and then my normal fixed ip netwrok settings Link to comment
saarg
You shouldn't loose connectivity permanently, but I guess it might be lost when unraid configures the bridge. There isn't anything else you're supposed to do to get the bridge to work. Link to comment
BobPhoenix
setup bridge - no Shouldn't that be 'yes'? Link to comment

rhinoman
Tried it again with Enable bonding - NoYES Bonding mode - active backup (1) setup bridge - YES bridge enable stp - yes bridge name - br0 bridge forward delay - 0 So, this time changed enable bonding to yes as well as setup bridge to yes and then the web console came straight backup. saarg
You do not need to set bonding to yes. This is only if you want to connect multiple interfaces to your switch from unraid. If you push help in the webgui, you'll get some help about the different options. If you could access the flash share unraid still had network connection, so it might be that you didn't have enough patience, or there is something that kills the webgui. Link to comment
