Trial Key Issues

Featured Replies

I searched around and did not find an answer to my question.  I just installed Version 6 (the latest version) and tried getting my trial key. I made sure my time and date were correct (they are) and got a key link, which I pasted into the appropriate field. It responded immediately that my trial key was expired and will not let me renew because the system states that it is NOT expired.  The dashboard states that I have too many devices connected, but I only have my bootable flash drive, parity drive, and two data drives installed, so not sure what the configuration error means.

Any help is appreciated.

I may be confused.  Does Unraid V6 count the bootable flash drive (with the OS on it) as one of the devices in the trial key device limitation?

It attached to my first post now.

How did you prepare the flash?  Meaning, fresh format of usb flash followed by coping unRaid-6, or did you maybe copy unRaid-6 to a pre-existing install, maybe unRaid-5?

Yeah, I followed the instructions for creating a new flash of v6 (formatted the USB drive and installed a new copy of v6 to it), then copied my config files (except the go file) over to the v6 config folder from my v5 backup.  I went from 5.0.6 to 6.

There must be some problem with the way I did things.  I just flashed a new usb drive with v6 and it booted and registered just fine.  Going to just rebuild my server from a fresh build.
