DMcK
Hi, I'm trying to add a new drive to my server, but have hit what appears to be a roadblock. Just installing the new drive and restarting my unRAID box results in my cache drive being listed as unmountable - clicking on the cache drive in Tower/Main shows "unmountable - too many misplaced devices". I'm not sure if this would all go away after I preclear the new drive and add it to the array; I just don't want to have my cache drive unavailable for a couple days. Do I have to preclear on another box? Or is there something else I am missing? Thanks, Doug v6.0.1 Plugins (Community Applications, Nerd Tools, MediaTreeCheck) Dockers (Calibre Server, MariaDB, TVheadend Stable, WebGrabPlusPlus) Link to comment
trurl
Have you perhaps exceeded the device limit for your license? Link to comment
DMcK
Not yet. parity + 2 data + 1 cache = 4 I am allowed 6. Link to comment
trurl
Not yet. parity + 2 data + 1 cache = 4 I am allowed 6. I assume you mean you are allowed 6 because you have a Basic license, but that limit now applies to "attached" devices, not only assigned devices like it used to. Do you have any other attached devices? Link to comment
DMcK
I think I spoke too soon. When the array is started, you can't see how many slots are assigned. So I stopped the array and notice unassigned slots! So I had 4 drives and 2 unassigned slots (not visible when the array is started). So I was over the limit. Link to comment
