August 22, 201510 yr Hi, first time this happens to me and beleive me but i have been doing this several times before in the previous years. This is the error i get: Make Bootable v1.2 El volumen de la unidad F es UNRAID El número de serie del volumen es: 2E0B-D5FB Error: volume label must be UNRAID Presione una tecla para continuar . . . My pc is windows 8.1 x64. I also tried with a win 7 x64 pc. I read through all "USB Flash Drive Preparation" but nothing helped. It has not to do with booting, just making the usb bootable. Pls, let me know how to solve this since my usb got corrupted and I need this for a replacement key.
August 22, 201510 yr Not my native language, but it says the volume isn't labeled UNRAID, and since you didn't say that you knew that wasn't the problem, I have to ask. Is that the problem?
August 22, 201510 yr Author Hi, it is laballed as UNRAID. So I have no idea what is going on. Is there any other way of doing the usb bootable i.e. via command line? Rgds.
August 22, 201510 yr There is a File called "make_bootable.bat" This must be copied to the USB-Stick "and executet FROM THE USB-Stick" Have you done this? If this is not working, your Stick is not able to boot >>> use another Stick! I have various sticks here and not all are able to boot unraid - most of them have no unique GUID. Remember: Use only recommended USB-Sticks from LimeTech!

I have the same stick working in the unraid tower of my father! Just bought the new one to substitute my faulty stick! It has not to do with the brand/model! I have no idea how to solve this, but I guess there must be a way to make it bootable.......
August 22, 201510 yr Possibly this is a language issue. See this thread and please read the whole thing. Maybe there is something there that will help.

It is not the first time -in the previous years- that you help me out of a problem! I read the whole post and tried only this option (add "rem"): :checkit rem if "%label%"=="UNRAID" goto valid rem echo Error: volume label must be UNRAID rem goto exit I will test it now. Rgds.
