August 23, 200916 yr I have a CM590 case and a Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2 motherboard. I have 4 fans I am installing into the case but only 1 SYS FAN hookup on the motherboard. How do I hook up all the fans?
August 23, 200916 yr It sounds like your fans have the little mini fan plug on them. You can get adaptors for these fans. They will go from the mini plug to a molex plug. Then you can plug all four fans directly to your power supply. You can use a adaptor similar to this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812119149 Hope this helps.. P.S. I wouldn't try & hook up all 4 fans to the one sys fan header on your motherboard. You will blow the header for sure..
August 23, 200916 yr I own an Antec 300 and the same mobo as you and I did not hook any fans to the mobo since this ppliance will be turned on 24/7, I figured I better find the right speed - at present they are all running at the lowest speed - I use Antec TriCool fans - and everything is fine. I will probably bring the speed of the front fan tu medium speed once I put more HDs in. Currently, I am running only on HD. It will stay the same until I figure out how to configure this box to run ps3mediaserver correctly. :'(
August 23, 200916 yr Author I just searched that part on newegg.ca and it is no longer stocked Where else can these be purchased?
August 23, 200916 yr Have you checked monoprice.com ? I you wanna stay in Canada, how about ncix.com or canadacomputers.com ?
August 23, 200916 yr I suggested that one to give you an idea of what kind of adaptor would work. There are a ton of different ones that do the same thing. Let us know if you find something in Canada. Best of luck..
