August 23, 200916 yr This is more of a informational post, sry if its posted totally wrong... I had a minor issue with one of my raid controllers, and scoured my parts bin for some alternative. I stumbled upon a old Sonnet tempo serial ata card, it's only 1.5 gbit but seems to be working fine with unraid. March 24, 201016 yr the sonnet card thats 4 sata ports pcie4x will work, as its runs the satamv driver... it its yet another marvell 88sx based controller (like the roswill one on the hardware page) sonnet are just rebrands of cheaper hardware.
March 25, 201016 yr Hmm, I got mine for $80ish from Ebay... unfortunately it doesn't work with 4.5 final with my port multiplier box.
