Disabled Disk but tests OK

Featured Replies

Unraid disabled a disk after it had errored. Disk is a relatively new HGST HDN724040ALE640 so powered down and checked all cabling. Rebooted and ran an short and extended SMART test with now errors.

Num  Test_Description    Status                  Remaining  LifeTime(hours)  LBA_of_first_error
# 1  Extended offline    Completed without error       00%      1109         -
# 2  Short offline       Completed without error       00%      1100

Put array in maintenance mode and ran reiserfsck which completed error free as far I can tell:

Will read-only check consistency of the filesystem on /dev/md4

Will put log info to 'stdout'

reiserfsck --check started at Wed Aug 26 07:35:08 2015

Replaying journal:
Replaying journal: Done.

Reiserfs journal '/dev/md4' in blocks [18..8211]: 0 transactions replayed

Checking internal tree..  finished

Comparing bitmaps..finished

Any suggestions as what to do next?

Anyone?

I saw this :

UDMA CRC Error Count: 137

As I understand it this can be cable related? I've checked all the cables and all seem good. Is there a way to get unRaid to accept the drive back?

Rebuild it.

Remove the disk from the array and then re-add back?

Stop array

Unassign disk

Start array. unRAID will see it missing
