unRaid 6.1rc6 Lockup when spinning down array

Featured Replies

Hello, my array locked up at "libvirt" after i issued a stop array command.

I was assigning a new USB pass through device to one of my VM's, specifically a FLIIRC, when the "update" button hung for a good 5 minutes. After than, I reloaded the "VM" page, and the specific VM i had been updating was no longer in the list. I decided to stop the unRAID array, to reboot the system and see if that brought it back. It is here that I got the issue.

WebUI locked up. Was able to putty in and attempted to gracefully shut down the system via command line, as well as pull diagnostics. It is here I issues "diagnostics" and got the reply "starting diagnostics collection... mkdir: cannot create directory '/boot/logs' : input/output error"

Image attached if its worth anything.

Running 6.1rc6. All had been working well for 2.5 days up to this, had assigned other USB devices to this Windows VM with no problems.

It may be worth noting, the device I was passing through was on a USB hub, but unRAID recognized the device on it just fine.

EDIT: Just to add, after having to hard reboot the server(and now go through a parity), things are working fine, though I did not yet try to remount the FLIIRC.

And I had not noticed, but a line at the top of my VM page as follows:

"Warning: file_put_contents(/boot/config/domain.cfg): failed to open stream: Input/output error in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.vm.manager/classes/libvirt_helpers.php on line 28 Warning: parse_ini_file(/boot/config/domain.cfg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.vm.manager/classes/libvirt_helpers.php on line 34"

And on Docker page:

Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'UnexpectedValueException' with message 'RecursiveDirectoryIterator::__construct(/boot/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user): failed to open dir: No such file or directory' in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php:78 Stack trace: #0 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php(78): RecursiveDirectoryIterator->__construct('/boot/config/pl...', 4096) #1 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php(109): DockerTemplates->listDir('/boot/config/pl...', 'xml') #2 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php(210): DockerTemplates->getTemplates('all') #3 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php(361): DockerTemplates->getTemplateValue('sparklyballs/be...', 'Banner') #4 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php(324): DockerTemplates->getBannerIcon('sparklyballs/be...') #5 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php on line 78

Want to provide an update if anyone was curious.

Turns out, if I pass through a device on 2 specific USB ports on my system, it causes my unRAID USB drive to become unreadable.

I don't know why, did no investigation beyond. I simply moved the device I was passing through to a separate USB controller on my motherboard.
