wirenut
I am away from my box this week traveling with work so i apologize in advance for not being able to provide a diagnostics file, but am curious if this is known/expected behavior or anything to be concerned with. Using version 6.0.1 with notifications set to 4 time a day. The 'parity check started' notification email was generated and received as expected (default setting of midnight/1st of month), then on the proper scheduled time a health status report email was generated and sent 20 minutes later which the contents are pasted below. How is the system 2% into a parity check yet all the array drives report to be in standby?? is there a built in delay or something? I plan to upgrade to v6.1 when i return home the end of the week, just want to make sure nothing needs to be fixed before i do. All subsequent notifications have been as expected. bonienl
There is nothing wrong, what you are seeing is the -- not up to date -- state of the disks report. This is controlled by the setting Tunable (poll_attributes) under Disk settings. Default is 30 minutes (1800), you can lower that to - for example - 15 minutes (900). Link to comment
