Register Trial Key not working

I am using version 6.1.0. Have noticed a couple of issues so far.

Modifing network.cfg file to use a static IP not working. Seems to alway default to DHCP.

Tried to edit /etc/rc.d/inet1.conf and set IPADDR,NETMASK, GATEWAY, and USE_DHCP="no"

but no go and tried to set /boot/config/network.cfg with same issue, just uses dhcp.

Also the /config/go is not set so I have to manually run /usr/local/sbin/emhttp & to start web interface.

My true issue right now is to register the free version.

When I click Register Trial key I enter my email and click the button, nothing happens.

Is there another place I can manually submit my Flash GUID and email address to get my activation of free trial ?

Update: Closer review of my USB drive I see that it was formated using NTFS not Fat32. So the /boot file system did not mount, but the USB stick would boot and mount a different /boot. This was also why my static IP was not working.

Still having problems with submitting for my activation. I may just start up python and debug it there

could someone share their /etc/fstab I do not see a /root file system mount.

Update:

I managed to manually download the trial key and copy Trial.key to the /boot/config folder.

Now I can not start the array because the server I have has too many slots. I only have three slot in use.

One slot is a 2 Tb Parity drive and the other two are 2 Tb drives.

Would really like to try this product but it won't let me start it.

Need help now

Use webGui to make all changes.  I suspect the webGui is overwriting your changes each time.

Not sure what you are saying here.  I assume you have copied the go file from the distro to the config folder?

Most likely, that was because the network was not set up and working yet.  Once the network is working, this should also work.

As far as I know, FAT or FAT32 are required for syslinux, not sure why.

I believe the limit for the Trial key is number of attached devices, not slots, and checked at array start only (if my memory is correct).  You can attach more with array stopped or after being started, but not at array start (I think!).  LimeTech registration page is pretty clear.
