theone
I am going to upgrade my build (see signature) with the following (already bought): * SuperMicro X10SLL-F * Intel XEON E3 1231v3 * 2x 16GB Kits (Crucial) I already have and am using an M1015 (SLI 6 port SATA controller) in my current build. When upgrading the server do I need to update and firmware on the X10SLL or the M1015? Do I need to change any settings in the X10SLL BIOS? Thank you Quote Link to comment
mr-hexen
Specs look good, except I think you'll need more ram than 32MB Quote Link to comment
theone
Sorry GB What about the installation - firmware updates, etc... Are they a must? Quote Link to comment
mr-hexen
The M1015 has to be set to IT mode, but aside from that firmware updates are usually a result of trying to fix a problem. Try first, then update if problems start. Quote Link to comment
cjohnson19791979
I've built systems around X10SRi-F's and it was important to disable PCI-E optionROM support in the BIOS. Quote Link to comment
