levster
Can some one please help with a syslog of a drive that just went off line? Is this something that needs to be replaced? Thanks, Lev syslog-2015-09-03.zip Link to comment
trurl
Get a smart report for the drive. See v5 help in my sig. Link to comment
levster
OK. Thanks. Attached the report. By the way, I've moved everything important off of that disk, so I can safely remove it, if necessary. smart.txt Link to comment
trurl
Looks OK to me. Maybe check connections. You will have to rebuild it to get rid of the redball. If you want to remove it instead, you will have to do New Config, reassign all drives except that one, and rebuild parity. Be sure you assign all drives correctly, especially parity. You don't want to accidentally write parity to one of your data disks. Link to comment
levster
I was actually just going to do that. Remove the disk and restart the array without it. However, I do not see an option to rebuild a new parity. Where is that option? Oh, just realized that it's new config under utilities. Forgot. Link to comment
