Concelor
So with the help of the guys over on the hardware board I managed to build a new server So for the last day adn a half I've been trying to get a VM up and running with no luck Luckily I have the experts here to help Set-up: Motherboard - Asus M5A99FX Process - AMD FX 8320E GPU - MSI Nvidia 660 TI RAM - 16 GB Problem: Trying to build a Windows 8.1 VM Ideally 8GB min 12 max RAM Passthru GPU ..it's going to replace my current system However I can't get the VM to work I'm building it in the webGUI following the UnRAID Manual 6 but no matter what I build I get the keyboard and mouse to blink a few times then black screen (no video output) I have also tried all the manuals suggestions if I get a black screen So now I've hit a wall and hoping someone can help me over it Thanks in advance Link to comment

If so, you may need a secondary GPU for the console so that you can pass through your GTX 660 TI to a VM. Do you have any cheap old GPU you can add to the system to act as your unRAID console display? Link to comment
saarg
If you have an AMD/ATI card laying around they can be passed through if there is only one card in the system. At least that is my experience. None of my nvidia cards can be passed through as the first/only card. Link to comment
jonp
Just thought I'd check in to see if the OP has resolved their issue or not. Let us know!! Link to comment
Concelor
I did get it working! Turns out Nvidia do need a second card just so the server can have a head for interface So once I was able to see the VM...well let's just say my holiday weekend has been stuck inside having VM fun and formulating new questions Thanks everyone for helping get the box started Link to comment
