Hi Folks,

 

i have a problem regarding the extendet smart test.

The affected HDD is an old SAMSUNG HD154UI (1,5TB) connected to an Adaptec 1430SA.

It has 480 Hardware ECC Recovered and i want to test the Drive but no chance - hangs at 20%  :P

If someone have some infos for me please.

    Mine used to hang and someone suggested extending the spin down time on the drive. It was set to spin down after 30 mins, I extended it to 5 hours (just to be on the safe side) and the extended test completed.
