Lou
Hi very new to VM so before messing up my server which is running perfect I would like to clarify a few things to make sure I go about this the right way. I would like to run OpenELEC Kodi VM. First of I did turn on VT-d in my super micro c2sea mother board bios, Do I need to install a video card to run this VM? and do I make my share dir. under appdata as cash only? Sorry for the noob question better safe then sorry (learning curve). I did read Jonp vm management but want to make sure I'm on the right path. Lou Link to comment
dvd.collector
Yes you need a video card (otherwise how would you output Kodi to a TV or Monitor?). If you are creating a folder on your cache drive to store the VM and its data then yes set that share to cache only so that it is not moved to the array. Link to comment
