I am pretty sure something is glaringly wrong....according to my main web GUI, it will take approx 7 days for parity to sync ???    I havent run across anything specific on the forums that indicates this is typically how long it takes...most of what I have seen leads me to believe something is off here.

can anyone assist please?  what kind of info do you need to assess my predicament?

thanks in advance.

ps. see attached screenshot

or if that doesnt work, my screenshot is here

Something is definitely wrong, I would suggest posting a syslog (you can find out how to get this in the wiki) and let the experts take a look to see if they can spot any problems.

Did you look in the wiki?

Perhaps here: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/FAQ#How_Fast_should_my_parity_check_be.3F

Parity check speeds are usually given in terms of KB/s.   Parity calcs/checks will take longer as you add more and larger disk drives to your array.

Your screen shot, showing 54KB/s shows something is very wrong.  (unless you did not press"refresh" on the browser, and the rate you are showing is before any of your disks have spun up, and therefore, nothing has been read/written yet, so the initial rate shown is not even close to accurate)  Speeds average from 11 MB/s to 95MB/s.   Most with 7 to 9 drives seem to get roughly 50,000 KB/s (50MB/s or about 100 times faster than your screen shot)  Benchmarks are here in the wiki: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/User_Benchmarks

As already mentioned, post a copy of your syslog.    Instructions are in the wiki under "troubleshooting"
