Ryan2207
Hello Everyone Just wanted to share something with the community, i've discovered a vm image that will automatically transcode your ripped blu rays and dvds known as the tested transcoder in the link below https://github.com/andymccurdy/tested-transcoder/ My question is can unraid run a vmdk file or do i have to find a way to convert it to another format such as img ? jonp
Hmm, I'll have a good at converting it later this week. Nudge me if I forget though. Link to comment
Ryan2207
I had an idea of it being a docker container rather than a virtual machine, theres no desktop environment to it, the vm just looks at a folder on your server runs through some scripts and then spits out an itunes size mkv file that has forced subtitles directors commentaries etc. great for backing up your blu rays dvds etc to plex Link to comment
Ryan2207
The only trick to it i can see is that this vm uses the vagrant up command to start, and i don't know how you would kick that off from within the unraid setup Link to comment
Ryan2207
I converted it to an img file, no luck, it booted but not correctly :-( Link to comment
