September 24, 201510 yr Author In order to obtain a lower price with a similar system, I'm still studying some adjustments with just the purpose of lowering the price of the system. I considering two changes: Xeon 1230 v3 -> Xeon 1220 v3 or 1226 v3 16GB ECC -> 8GB ECC The reduction of the memory can be just temporary and I can always add it in the future. The CPU change is more critical and something to be well studied. MB and PSU I think I do not have many alternatives, taking into consideration Xeon CPUs and ECC memory. Regarding the case, I like very much of Lian Li Q25, but is a bit pricey. Need to think better. Question: Without any graphic card, would be possible to have in this system an OpenElec VM to perform as HTPC? Would be possible to play the HD Audio of my full BD Rips through my home cinema system?
