cam.ross
Hi, I have unRaid 6.1.2 installed with 3 disks (4TB, 1TB and 500GB). I currently have my array configured as data disks with no parity. I want to change this so that the 1TB drive is parity and the 500GB drive is protected. Data on my 4TB drive is large, but easily reclaimed, so I don't want to have this drive protected. Is this configuration possible? Thanks, Cam. Link to comment
SSD
Yes. 500g is disk1, 1tb is parity. The 4tb could be set up as the cache disk, but you'd have to contend with the mover and be careful setting up user shares to not be cached, but in your simple stop that might not be so difficult. The other option is to mount the 4tb outside the array, which is a bit trickier to do initially, but avoids issues with the mover. Link to comment
cam.ross
Will I be able to setup up a share to a disk that is mounted outside of the array? Link to comment
SSD
Yes. An SMB share can be setup on a disk outside the array. Link to comment

trurl
The Unassigned Devices plugin is what you need. Link to comment
