Unable to install any plugin or docker

Featured Replies

This issue appeared one week and nothing I've tried has fixed it. Every way I try to install a docker image or plugin fails and I get the same error messages even on a fresh install across two working flash drives on dockers and plugins that have installed fine in the past.

I've checked my DNS, upgraded to 6.1.2, used two different working flash drives, different ethernet cables, and tried it without starting the array, and made a new docker image. I've received help from a docker dev and nothing i tried from him worked either. I am out of ideas at this pint as my network hasn't changed in any major ways recently.

The above shows how I am unable to pull any data. I am surprised it even downloaded this time.

I will get any information you need in order to solve this as I am unable to use unRaid much without at least my basic dockers I had running.

Can you please upload your diagnostics please?  You can obtain this under the Tools -> Diagnostics page.

Oops, I can't believe I forgot all about that, it's uploaded in this post now. Note that this is on the other flash drive that I formatted today and literally never put my key back on or started the array. I went straight to the plugins option and tried to install community applications.

Can you ping raw.githubusercontent.com from unRAID?

99.9% sure you setup and static IP and forgot to put in your DNS server.

Reason I can be so sure, I did the same thing ;)

JonP anyway to make that a required field if its a static IP?

Good catch and suggestion. I think that's probably a good idea.

EDIT: I don't understand. When this problem first occurred I had all three of the below dns servers entered since day one and even reset my interface, reentered the same servers, and also tried new config files with no luck until now. What happened?

You're the fourth one to suggest that though no, that doesn't seem fix this issue sadly.

Here is the message I received before and after assigning three working dns servers in the settings tab (8.8.8.8 , 8.8.4.4 , 4.2.24)

root@Ground:~# ping raw.raw.githubusercontent.com
ping: unknown host raw.raw.githubusercontent.com
root@Ground:~#

It's strange as it's a dns-related issue from what I pasted.

So... I don't think its saving your DNS server settings.  Your network.cfg file in /boot/config doesn't show any DNS servers.

Issue is still around after I put my backup of 6.1.2 on the other flash drive. I took the dns entries out, tried to download the plugin, verified the issue was there, put the dns entries back in, redownloaded and was unable to. I am able to ping hostnames such as google.com. I'll start all over if I must, however if this happens in the future I'd hate to do it all over again if I put even more configuration into it.

Edit: I can ping raw.githubusercontent.com as well and my new diagnostic file is uploaded.

I ran into the same problem and ended up creating a new bridge in network settings. I set it to let my router set my ip and dns, and then reserved my ip in my router settings. I hated doing it this way but it couldn't be helped, unfortunately  :( You may be able to just rename your current bridge's settings and go from there, I don't know as I didn't try.
