September 17, 201510 yr I have one of the early models (shucked from an external enclosure) and have not had any problems with it. Initially it was my parity drive it is now a full data drive. It does run a bit warmer than the rest during parity checks. Enough to trigger the UnRaid temp warnings during the summer months. Floor fan placed in front fixes that.
September 17, 201510 yr I just bought 2 of there a month ago. They are running OK - parity + data Same for me except I bought 5. 1 cold spare, 1 as parity and 3 as data drives. No problems yet.
