One of My UnRAID Boxes Disappeared from the Network

Featured Replies

I've been happily chugging along for some time with 2 UnRAID boxes, named Tower and Tower2. Recently, Tower2 vanished and I had no access to it from Windows. After a reset, things seem to boot normally, but the system never appears as a network device as my other UnRAID Tower box does. When it boots, it appears with a "Tower: Login" prompt. I'm fairly sure this used to read "Tower2: Login." I shut down the other UnRAID box and tried to access the inaccessible box as Tower, but Windows still can't find it.

Any suggestions, or, if not, how do I proceed with testing to find out where the problem is. I'm afraid troubleshooting in Linux is not a skill of mine. Can someone point me to a troubleshooting guide, or steer me through a few steps to find out if something catastrophic has happened?

BTW, there appears to be no drive activity on this system after the boot, so apparently no parity check is taking place. I made no changes to the software on this box, no recent updates or name changes to the server in my browser. I don't know why it would suddenly disappear and on reboot show up with the Tower: Login" prompt instead of Tower2.

OK, here's my syslog file.

I've never had a problem like this with UnRAID before. The last info at the end of the file references "Tower2."
