delete shares even with files in it

Featured Replies

It would be nice to be able to delete shares even if there are files in it. But to make it more secure so you don't accidentally delete a share you want maybe make it so you have to check a delete box and type "DELETE" in a field to delete the share?

(stupid .AppleDB files)

The newest release(s) has a setting to show and allow deleting of . files, so if you turn that on you should be able to clean out the share properly and be able to delete it normally.

I don't see any thing when I connect through smb (on mac), still shows 0 items in folder. Only way I know how to do it is log in on the actual machine and delete them.

If the "hide dot files" is set to no, and they don't show up, then I think you need to file a defect report. That issue was the main reason for the change to be made, so if it doesn't solve the issue, then I'm sure limetech wants to know about it.

ahh I had it set to no because it made sense that way. Maybe the wording should be changed?
