Daily crashing

Featured Replies

Hi,

Running 6.1.3

3 Plug Ins

No KVM

Everyday I loose web access, cant telnet and no console. Requires hard unclean cycle to recover.

Working from home today so I left the syslog open via dynamix on browser window. (see pastebin link)

Whats also curious is that I left PLEX running in a seperate browser tab and can watch content.

However cant reach server via telnet or web browser.

Crashes happen daily. Not liking that.

If you boot into safe mode, does this problem occur?  Need to narrow down if this is the result of a plugin or not.

I will boot into safe mode later and check.

I cant reach the web GUI but I can open a telnet session. I just checked and I can reach the plug ins by web going to their port.

Ie Plex 192.168.2.47:32400 same with sickbeard at 8081 and sabnzbd at 8080. However I am not able to reach 192.168.2.47/Main

If you can run a telnet session, then when the problem next occurs you can try using the 'diagnostics' command from the telnet session.  This will create a ZIP file in the logs folder on the USB drive which you can post here to see if anyone can spot an issue.

Talk about timing. It all just went down. I went to the telnet session but it had the hash/ pound # char and I couldnt enter command. Grrrr.

Here is what happened:

Sep 24 18:58:21 Tower kernel: traps: emhttp[1437] general protection ip:2b590d899312 sp:7ffce542caf8 error:0 in ld-2.17.so[2b590d880000+23000]

I still have telnet access so ran diagnostics.

WebGUI is not available.

Only running Plex via plug in and it is accessible.

I thought you were in safe mode?  Safe mode should disable all plugins from the system.

I was curious to see if I could run with just Plex.

Currently in safe mode at the moment for past 10 minutes or so.

Will let you know how it goes. Thanks again.

ok so after the safe mode kernel issue i rebooted into safe mode but this time i unplugged the ethernet cable and went to safe mode. Its been stable for a few hours now. Could it be the realtek chipset?
