zunfire
It reports only allocate 8GB when i have 16GB installed. Trying to run Win7 vm and want it to have 6GB but cant, have to stop plex and mineos dockers to free up mem. What can be wrong? Quote Link to comment

zunfire
After looking in bios, and then run memtest just to be sure there was 16GB detected, and then I started UNRAID it now suddenly shows allocated 16 of installed 16. Very stange, its solves the problem for the moment but am not happy, will run some more hardware test later Quote Link to comment
RobJ
Diagnostics for that session definitely show 8GB of RAM, so I would shut down and open up the case and carefully re-seat each of the RAM cards. After booting, run the Memtest over night, multiple passes, try and make it fail. You may either have flaky memory or defective memory slots, or marginally incompatible memory for that board. Make sure it's set up correctly, right parameters and voltage, no overclocking, ... Quote Link to comment
unevent
What brand/model memory and quantity of all installed? BIOS appears to be seven versions old, might consider updating. Your board supports 32GB, so either module not seated properly, faulty module, incompatability of some kind, or perhaps BIOS version/support. Nice choice for processor Quote Link to comment
zunfire
Yes will sure shutdown and run memtest over night, had strange behavior when I try save and exit in bios, it did not wont to warm boot. Thanks for tip about bios, usually I do check that stuff but this time I totally have forgotten it. Memory is just bought this week Crucial DDR3 BallistiX Sport 1600MH 2x8GB, unfortunately ECC is not supported on this motherboard else I would go for that. Quote Link to comment
unevent
Verify the memory modules are not installed adjacent to each other and are fully seated. Refer to the attached pic. Quote Link to comment
